What is Dopamine Shop?
Dopamine Shop is a fake shopping experience. The whole point is the feelingof shopping, not the spending. You browse real-looking products, add them to your cart, go through checkout — and nothing actually gets purchased. You “buy” things with credits instead of real money. No payment info is ever collected. No real transactions happen. It’s retail therapy without the credit card bill.
What we collect
Here’s an honest rundown of what we pick up when you use the site:
When you visit:
- A session ID (a random UUID, generated in your browser)
- Browser and device type, screen size
- Your timezone and language
- Your country — but not your city or precise location
- Pages you visit, products you view, what you add to cart
- How far you scroll (yes, really — it helps us understand interest)
When you sign in with Google:
- Your name, email address, and profile picture (from Google)
When you place a “fake order”:
- The delivery address you enter (so we can show you the full fake shipping experience)
- The items in your cart
If you arrived via a link:
- Referral source and UTM campaign parameters
Why we collect it
- To make the site actually work — session state, credits, order history, all that
- To understand how people use the site: which products are popular, where people drop off, what makes someone keep browsing
- To potentially share anonymized behavioral data with third-party analytics and marketing partners in the future (see the “Do Not Sell” section below if that concerns you)
How long we keep it
- Session data: 90 days
- Account data: Until you delete your account
- Order data: 2 years (so you can keep reminiscing about things you almost bought)

Your rights
